sneek peek at Kaisercraft Tropicana

Just a sneek peek at my latest project.

I spent 2 wonderful weeks visiting cape york, the very tip of Australia on my last holiday and took some wonderful photos. Of course I had on my mind a next album to make, but what paper line would be best...Kaisercraft Tropicana looked great and when I tried it out it was perfect! So making my usual paper bag album with the stack the deck binding style my album was in the process.

The flowers are hand made and when I finish the album I will upload a proper post for it with a link to a tutorial on how I made these beautiful flowers...

Will keep you posted soon on my finished result...

Rock pool album

Well i have finally finished this cute album.Using Kaisercraft Rock Pool collection, I had fun creating a mini to go inside a decorated clam shell.

My lovely little hometown is the only place off of main land Australia where we are luckly enough to walk to the closest part of the Great Barrier Reef. A couple times a year on a very low tide, we get to walk out and enjoy looking at live rock and coral, hundreds of starfish and all sorts of treasures left behind on a low tide. Doing this with my son and taking some great photos got me thinking about doing this mini album.

Using two of the large clam papers, gluing to cardboard i created my clam to hold the mini inside.
I then decorated it by spraying with pearl glimmer mist, inking, netting, a real starfish, shells and glitter.

I used some of the diecut animals to decorated the inside of the clam and hot glued string pearls around the lip.

There is lots of pockets and areas to put photos and memorabilia. Iam very pleased at how this turned out and i know my son will love it.

Hope you do too...

until next time, happy scrappin'

Walk to the Reef and Kaisercraft Rock pool

Hello fellow bloggers...

Well its coming up to that time again where my small coastal town starts to get excited for a very special event. We are the only place off of main land Australia where you can walk to part of the Great Barrier Reef on a very low tide. A couple days of the year for a couple of hours, we get the chance to walk out to the reef, and enjoy looking at coral, fish, tons of starfish and other marine life before walking back to shore after the tide changes.

I have been busy putting together a very cute album using last years Kaisercraft Rock pool paper line, and cant wait to take heaps of photos to add to it.

This is a photo from last years walk...

Will upload more photos and my mini on the weekend...

take care...

you are awesome.

Had so much fun making this art journal over the weekend. Inside are pages from the Simple Stories  Aweso(me) collection.

Grunge board covered in white paper, then sprayed with assorted Tattered Angels Sprays, and inks. Stencilling, ghosting, and any other effects you want to achieve your look. Then use Mod Podge to seal it when you have finished.

I have used white flowers that have been spayed and inked to match the background, and also lightly coated with mod podge. Had fun creating the love heart from an old zipper and adding some embellishments.

And the back view created the same way.

Well had so much fun creating this. Loved how it worked out, and how my hands have been stained from all the inking and spraying.

until next time....

Engraved with love

Hello again! This was my project over the last week. I found this box
in my local cheap shop, and with Primas Engraver paperline I knew a little
mini was on the way.

This was the box originally, I loved the large clock on the front, and the clasp.

The box after I decorated it with Modge podge, Engraver tape, Engraver Flowers, Ticket,
and clock hands by Tim Holtz.

The Mini fits perfectly inside, was a little worried i made
it to chunky.

The layouts all have room for photos and journaling.

And a tag inside each pocket.

Well another mini made, I hope that you like it. I enjoyed this making this mini
and looking forward to filling it up with photos..

                                               Until next time...happy scrappin'
