Bonjour mini album

Bonjour!!
Well I have been meaning to upload this cute little paris album
for a few weeks, but as usual daily life gets in the way..
I found a cute round decorated Paris theme box in my local cheapy
shop and decided that I wanted to make a mini album with
the photos of my family when we visited Paris a few years back.
Using the Bonjour paper line from Kaisercraft, Tim Holtz Alteration Ornamental,
Iam Roses flowers and other items I made this chunky mini.

Full of tags, windows for photos, and journal spots. I made a little envelope for one
page, a folder for another, full frames for larger photos, and a mini book on the first page. Had lots of fun creating this little mini, I really hope you like it..

untill next time...happy scrapping!

Blending Blocks..

Who loves the Tim Holtz ink and blending blocks! I do..love the colours
and update with every new colour that comes out. But I have only one
blending block. Constantly changing the ink foam to whatever
colours I am using, and riping the Velcro from using it so much.

So I thought I would try and make my own..Now my hubby has a big shed full of
everything I needed. I found a length of wood that I got him to cut up for me.
I'm sure your local hardware shop would do the same for you. Rounded off the
edges so they were smooth.

Double sided tape and velcro put on top with a hot glue gun, made sure that it was
put in place.

And now have a blending block for each ink pads. I store mine in a plastic fish tackle box. Each block
has its own department, and they fit in there perfectly.

I know that this has been done before, but this was my first time to try and was
surprised by how quick and easy it was to make. Not to mention Ive made about 30
of these blocks for around the price if i had brought one.!

until next time..happy scrapping!

Sewing box.

My new sewing box...

Any plain box - I brought mine from Spotlight.
Pattened paper - I used Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante.
4 small wooden handles for feet.
Acrylic paint - browns, black and orange.
Mod podge.
Assorted flowers & leaves - Mine was brought online from Iam Roses.
Assorted embellishments - wooden cotton wheels, chain, cotton, hat pin, etc.
and the handle I brought from Bunnings.

Painted the edges of the lid with shades of browns, blacks and little orange to match the paper line. Then covered top of lid with Fantasy Floral (G45). Quiet a few coats of Mod Podge to form a sealer..Then decorated with whatever embellishments you like..I found some wooden cotton wheels from Spotlight, used flowers that I brought from Iam Roses, and inked them, a hat pin, butterfly from the paper line that was cut out and layed with Dimensional Magic, and a nice chain I found. I love the handle, probably the best feature of it..

Painted and covered with paper the inside..Also a few layers of Mod Podge.

Well i hope you like my first creation..I'm pleased at how it turned out and was lots of fun to make..

until next time..
